Sea Turtles Typically Live and Thrive in Warm Tropical Waters

Sea turtles love the warm tropical waters that surround the Hawaiian island chain. What is interesting about sea turtles is that they need to breathe oxygen for survival and surface for air. They can actually hold their breath for several hours at a time. A sleeping sea turtle can stay underwater for 5-7 hours.

Yes It Can Snow In Hawaii, Even In July

One of the most popular questions posed to Meteorologists by young people is whether or not it snows in Hawaii. The high elevation mountainous regions are fair game for snow each winter, but snow in July is incredibly uncommon. What is even more uncommon is seeing such vast weather extremes in just a few days time. In Hawaii this year, measurable snowfall hit the ground just days after record heat was recorded.
