Yes It Can Snow In Hawaii, Even In July

One of the most popular questions posed to Meteorologists by young people is whether or not it snows in Hawaii. The high elevation mountainous regions are fair game for snow each winter, but snow in July is incredibly uncommon. What is even more uncommon is seeing such vast weather extremes in just a few days time. In Hawaii this year, measurable snowfall hit the ground just days after record heat was recorded.
